GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood women's basketball defeated UMSL 78-70 in a thrilling overtime win Tuesday night. It was the first conference game for the Lions as members of the GLVC conference.
Kallie Bildner and
Devin Fuhring each scored 20 points against the Tritons to lead the Lindenwood offense. The win moves Lindenwood to 5-0 overall and 1-0 in GLVC action.
The Lions trailed UMSL 31-30 at halftime, and a back-and-forth second half left the game tied at the end of regulation. Lindenwood tied the game with 27 seconds left after
Julia Ruzevich stole the errant pass from UMSL and scored a layup on the other end to tie the game at 64. The Tritons had a chance with four seconds remaining, but the shot was off-line, leading to overtime. In overtime, the Lions capitalized on several trips to the free throw line, scoring eight points led by Bildner who was 5-6 from the charity stripe. In addition to the free throw performances,
Julia Ruzevich grabbed five offensive rebounds in the overtime period, helping seal the 78-70 victory.

Devin Fuhring scored 20 points with six rebounds at UMSL. She was 3-7 from beyond the arc, tying a season-best for the sophomore.

Kallie Bildner also had 20 points and led the Lions with 15 rebounds, her fourth double-double of the season. She finished the game 7-9 from the free throw line.
- Bildner now has 1,455 career points, moving into fourth on Lindenwood's all-time scoring list. No Lion has scored more points than Bildner in the NCAA era at Lindenwood.

Hennessey Handy scored 19 points with four rebounds and two assists.

Julia Ruzevich was the fourth Lion in double-figures, scoring 12 points. She continued to be a multi-stat contributor tacking on seven rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Kate Ruzevich picked up her first start of the season, and responded with 10 rebounds.
- The Lions steadily improved throughout regulation, shooting 31.25% in the first quarter, 33.33% in the second, 53.85% in the third and 64.29% in the fourth.
- Lindenwood out-rebounded the Tritons 54-34 in the game.
- Entering overtime, the Lions held a 10-7 edge in second-chance points, but thanks to eight offensive rebounds, Lindenwood scored nine second-chance points in OT, while holding UMSL to zero.
- Lindenwood did not score a fast-break point until the fourth quarter, and ended the game with the 11-6 advantage in the stat.

The Lions head to Florida for a pair of games in two weeks. Lindenwood plays Florida Southern on Dec. 19 and Eckerd College on Dec. 20. Both games take place in Lakeland, Florida.
