The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-10-3, 0-4-0 CHA) returns to Centene Community Ice Center to take on Syracuse (3-12-1, 2-1-1 CHA) in a two-game series starting at 7:10 p.m. on Friday in Maryland Heights, Mo.
The Lions are coming off a loss to St. Cloud State this past Friday, before Saturday's game was canceled. Lindenwood is led by
Megan Wagner who has notched five points, including her team-high three goals.
Sierra Burt has accumulated four points this season, as she is tied with Cortney Ganske and
Kirsten Martin in assists with three.Â
Annika Asplundh has been the primary netminder for the Lions, posting a .911 save percentage with a 3.34 goals against average in 12 games played.
The Orange enter the weekend with a 3-12-1 overall record, including a 1-1-1 mark in their previous three games. Syracuse is led by Abby Moloughney who has tallied 11 points, while posting 10 assists. Jessica DiGirolamo is tied for the team lead with her five goals, registering 10 points on the year.
Lindenwood and Syracuse will meet for the 37th time since the two teams began play in 2011. The Orange hold the series lead 28-7-2, including six-straight wins over the Lions.
Lindenwood had the Orange on the ropes multiple times last year. The Lions held a two-goal lead in two different games last year, falling in overtime in both contests.
Syracuse defeated the Lions 4-1 in the opening round of the CHA Tournament last season, sweeping the season series 5-0.
