Medlen Layup Seals Nail-Biter for Women's Basketball

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood junior point guard Lindsay Medlen hit a layup with 0.1 seconds left on the clock to give the Lions a 66-64 win over Nebraska-Kearney. Lindenwood called a time out with 18 seconds left and advanced the ball to midcourt. Jade Giron drove baseline, and fed a streaking Medlen, who split the defenders for the eventual game-winner. The Lopers ran a play to the rim at the end of regulation, but the ball was tipped up by Kallie Bildner to secure the win. With the victory, the Lions are 17-5 overall and 11-4 in MIAA action.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Kallie Bildner posted the MIAA's seventh 30-point game of the season with 30 points on 12-19 shooting. 
- Bildner also led the Lions with 12 rebounds, for her 12th double-double of the year.
- Lexie Moe scored 15 points with seven rebounds against the Lopers. She also led the game with a pair of blocks.
- Lindsay Medlen scored 10 points with seven rebounds.
- The Lions tallied 16 assists as a team. Individually, Bildner, Moe and Charisse Williams were tied for the team lead with three each.
- Williams also had three steals in the game. 

PLAYOFF PICTURE
This season, the MIAA changed formats for the MIAA Conference Championship. In years' past, the conference would take the top 12 teams with the bottom eight teams playing campus at campus sites for the first round. This season, the top 10 teams all go to Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. For more information on the new format, visit MIAA Tournament Central.
- Lindenwood has already secured a spot in the MIAA Tournament with an 11-4 record.
- With four games left, Lindenwood sits in a four-way tie for third with Central Missouri, Emporia State and Pittsburg State.
- In their remaining games Lindenwood plays Lincoln (2-13, 14th) on the road, but hosts Washburn (12-3, 2nd), Central Missouri (11-4, t-3rd) and Southwest Baptist (3-12, t-11th).
