Lindenwood Notes
- Lindenwood hosts Central Missouri in the penultimate contest of the 2018-19 regular season. The Lions and Jennies are tied for second in the MIAA standings. Lindenwood is 19-5 overall and Central Missouri is 20-5.
- If the Lions defeat the Jennies, they will own tiebreakers over all MIAA teams except SBU, ESU and FHSU. A win would lock the Lions into no lower than the fourth seed in the MIAA Championship. The Lions are already locked into no worse than the sixth seed.
- The Lions have 19 wins this season. One more win would give the Lions 20 wins, matching the program's NCAA record set last season. Lindenwood also recorded 10 wins in MIAA play, the most in program history.
- In their last game, the Lions then-second place Washburn 83-65 giving the Lions the season sweep of the Ichabods. Lindenwood was lights out from deep, shooting 14-23 from beyond the arc (60.9%),
Lindsay Medlen led the team in scoring with 17 points.
- The Lions are eighth in the NCAA in field goal percentage (47.4%) and sixth in rebound margin (10.5).
- Individually,
Kallie Bildner is sixth in the NCAA in field goal percentage at 61.7%. She also is 18th in double-doubles with 14.
- Among all active players, Bildner is fourth with 42 career double-doubles.
- Bildner leads the MIAA in scoring (17.6 points per game), rebounding (10.3 per game) and field goal percentage (61.7%).
- The Lions are led by first-year head coach
Katie Falco. She comes to Lindenwood after spending the previous 10 seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA DI South Dakota State.
Central Missouri Notes:
- Central Missouri is 20-5 overall and 13-4 in MIAA games. They most recently beat Missouri Western 86-66 last Saturday.
- The Jennies are led by 2017-18 MIAA Player of the Year Paige Redmond who averages 16.2 points per game. She is sixth in the NCAA with 36.79 minutes per game. Redmond also ranks 15th in free throw percentage at 87.8%,
- UCM features three players with 5.0 rebounds per game or better: Morgan Fleming (5.9), Kim Crown (5.6) and Megan Skaggs (5.6).
- As a team, UCM has the 23rd fewest turnovers in NCAA DII with 344.
Series Notes:
- Lindenwood is 4-11 all-time against the Jennies. The Lions lost the last game between the two teams, but won the prior outing between the two schools on Mar. 1, 2018. The Lions defeated UCM 75-66 at Municipal Auditorium, knocking the Jennies out of the MIAA Tournament.
