Softball Splits Lynn Doubleheader

GAME DETAILS
Lindenwood softball split a doubleheader to Lynn today in Boca Raton, Florida. The Lions won the first game 9-3. In game two, both teams were tied at 2 heading to the seventh inning. In the bottom of the seventh, Lynn had runners at second and third with one out. Lynn hit a fly ball to left field. Left fielder Sam Dean threw home, but the runner from third was under the tag to win the game for the Knights. The split moves Lindenwood to 11-5 overall.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- In game one, the Lions faced an early deficit with Lynn scoring twice in the bottom of the first, and a third run in the second.
- Lindenwood responded with three runs in the third, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and one in the sixth to get the win. 
- Stormee Galka went 3-5 at the plate in the first game with a run scored. 
- Courtney Klosinski was 2-4 with a run, a double and an RBI.
- Caitlyn Touchette was 2-4 with a double and an RBI.
- Ceairra Perez went 2-4 with a run and an RBI.
- Austine Pauley was 2-4 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.
- Galka threw the complete game, allowing five hits and three earned runs.

- Stormee Galka was the leadoff hitter in game two, going 2-4 with a run scored.
- Sam Dean was the starting pitcher, but also went 1-3 with an RBI double.
- Dean threw five innings with seven hits, one earned run, no walks and two strikeouts.
- Paige Callans was 1-1 with a run scored and an RBI.
