GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood baseball team (12-14, 6-6 MIAA) defeated Harris-Stowe (12-15, 5-5 AMC) by a 15-8 margin on Wednesday night at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

The Hornets opened up the game with back-to-back one-run innings to take a 2-0 lead after two innings. Lindenwood responded in the bottom of the third as
Mitchell Krebs and
DJ Miller each hit a double down the line to bring in three runs.Â
Ryan Sosnowski drove in Miller on a single up the middle, as the Lions took a 4-2 lead after three innings. Harris-Stowe got one run back in the top of the fifth, but the Lions had another big inning in the bottom half.

Kyle Stevens opened the inning with a double to left field, and later stole third base. Stevens scored on a sacrifice fly by
Brennan Fitzpatrick, and
Calvin Nowak drove in two runs on a double down the left field line to make it a four-run lead. The Hornets picked up a run in the top of the sixth, and tied the game in the top of the seventh to make it 7-7.

The Lions put the pedal to the metal in the seventh and eighth innings to put the game out of reach.Â
Kolby Schulte hit a two-RBI single through the left side, and
Jayce Maag poked a two-RBI double to left center to add four runs. Miller doubled down the left field line to drive in Maag and make it a 12-7 game. The Lions drove in three more runs on four hits and an error in the eighth inning to take a 15-7 lead. Lindenwood closed out the game and earned a 15-8 win on Wednesday night.
