Four Women's Hockey Players Named All-CHA

The CHA placed four Lindenwood players on the all-conference list, including Sierra Burt who was named second-team all-CHA as a forward.  Forward Jada Burke, defenseman Taylor Kirwan, and goalie Sophie Wolf were all honored on the all-rookie team.
 
Burt was second on the team in points with 19 including a team-high eight points on the power play.  The sophomore scored nine goals and dished out 10 assists with four multi-point games.  Burt had at least one point in five of her last six games for a total of seven points.  The Bayfield, Ontario native posted 69 shots on the offense with 19 blocks shots on the defensive end.  Burt scored two goals in a 4-1 win over Union, and again in a 6-1 win over Robert Morris.  The St. Anne's Catholic Secondary product earned CHA Player of the Week on February 18.
 
Burke had a monster season in her first year with the Lions.  The Nepean, Ontario native posted a team-high 11 goals with five assists for a total of 16 points.  Burke ended the regular season with a +5 plus/minus and scored on 22.9 percent of her shots taken.  The 6-0 freshman scored her first-career hat trick against Post University in which she ended the game with five points.  Burke had two power play goals on the year and scored the game winner against Robert Morris late in the season.  The Mother Teresa Catholic product earned CHA Rookie of the Week twice.
 
Kirwan led all Lindenwood defenseman with 13 points, including 11 assists which was second on the team.  In her 32 games played, Kirwan scored two goals and blocked 35 shots.  Each of her two goals came against Syracuse, as her first goal of her career came on a two-point night in October.  The Gull Lake, Saskatchewan native posted two assists in a 6-1 win over Robert Morris on February 16.
 
Wolf was the primary goalie for the Lions as she compiled a 4-15-3 record between the pipes and had a 2.82 goals against average.  Wolf made 542 saves on the year and posted an .899 save percentage in her 24 games played.  In seven different games, Wolf made 30 saves or more, including a season-high 43 saves against Penn State in late January.  The Nepean, Ontario native went 2-1-1 in a span of four games including an average of 29.75 saves per game in the games against RIT and Robert Morris.
 
The Lions closed out the regular season with a 7-21-4 overall record while finishing 3-14-3 in conference play.  Lindenwood will take on Syracuse on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. ET in the first round of the CHA Tournament in Buffalo, N.Y.
