Galka Nearly Perfect As Softball Picks Up Two Wins

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood junior Stormee Galka was one strike from a perfect game, leading the Lions to a doubleheader sweep of St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Galka picked up the win in game one, 10-0 and scored the final run in game two 10-2. The victories move the Lions to 26-14 overall. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Stormee Galka issued a walk to the second-to-last batter she faced, but worked a pop up from the next batter to lock down a no-hitter. She threw five shutout innings with one walk and three strikeouts. 
- In addition to her performance in the circle, Galka was 2-4 at the plate with two runs and an RBI.
- Taylor Bushman was 2-3 with two runs and a steal.
- Austine Pauley went 2-2 with a run, a walk, two RBIs and a stolen base.
- Hannah Johnson was 2-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.

- In game two, the Lions surrendered two runs to the Eutectics before rallying for an eight-run fourth inning. The rain started in the fifth, leading to a pair of wild pitches to end the game. 
- Sam Dean was 2-3 in the game with a double and a home run. Her double was a foot from clearing the CF fence at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.
- Hanna Porter went 2-3 with a run and an RBI.
- Courtney Klosinski was 2-3 with a run scored.
- Austine Pauley was 1-1 with a triple, her seventh of the year.
- Marina Esparza picked up the win in relief, throwing 1.1 IP without allowing a baserunner. 

UP NEXT
The Lions end the 2019 regular season with a pair of road games. Lindenwood heads to Southwest Baptist for a doubleheader on Friday. The Lions then travel to Central Missouri to close the regular season with a doubleheader on Saturday.
