GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood softball earned a spot in the MIAA Conference Championship with a doubleheader split at Central Missouri. The Lions won the first game 11-6, but fell in game two 3-2 in extra innings. Lindenwood concludes the regular season 29-15 and 14-12 in conference games. The Lions are in a four-way tie for fifth place in the MIAA, and earned the fifth seed in next week's championship due to tiebreakers.

- The Lions jumped on the board early with four runs in the first inning and never looked back. The Jennies came within one in the fifth, but a three-run home run from
Hanna Porter in the top of the sixth and a two-run shot from
Austine Pauley in the seventh sealed the 11-6 win.

Stormee Galka was 2-4 in the game as the Lions' leadoff hitter.

Caitlyn Touchette went 2-3 with a double, a run scored and three RBIs.

Austine Pauley went 2-4 with a home run and three RBIs. She also stole her 14th base of the season.
- Pauley also eclipsed 100 total bases for the second consecutive season. She is the only Lion to record 100 total bases in a single season. She set the Lindenwood record with 117 last season.

Madison Corwell threw two innings in relief, earning the win, her fifth of the season. Galka closed the game, garnering her first save of the season.
- Galka recorded her 23rd multi-hit game of the season in game two, going 2-3 with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base.

Caitlyn Touchette also went 2-3 against the Jennies.

Hannah Johnson went 1-3, extending her hit streak to 10 games.
- Galka threw most of the game, hurling 6.0 IP with two strikeouts, no walks, six hits and two earned runs.

The Lions and Jennies meet again in the opening game of the MIAA Championship. Fifth seeded Lindenwood plays fourth-seeded Central Missouri at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at the Broncho Softball Stadium in Edmond, Oklahoma.
