Lindenwood Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics
Brad Wachler announced that men's basketball head coach
Lance Randall has resigned effective immediately. During his four seasons at Lindenwood, Randall guided the Lions to a 69-55 record, including four consecutive MIAA Tournament appearances.
Â
"I would like to thank
Lance Randall for his service to Lindenwood University and the athletics department for the last four years," said Wachler. "We feel that program is in a great position and is fully ready to head into the GLVC. We are excited to see the caliber of candidates we will get as we kick off a national search. "
Â
Randall arrived in St. Charles, Mo. prior to the start of the 2015-16 season, winning 16 games and helping Lindenwood advance to the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinals for the first time in program history. The Randall-led Lions recorded 21 victories the following season in 2016-17, giving the program its first 20-win season since 2011-12. Lindenwood posted back-to-back 16-win campaigns in 2017-18 and 2018-19, as the team advanced to postseason play each year.
Â
Over the previous four seasons, Lindenwood has produced 11 all-MIAA performers and has had 26 student-athletes named to the MIAA Academic Roll.Â
