The Lindenwood football team (1-2, 1-0 GLVC) will hit the road this week to take on Davenport University (2-0, 1-0 GLIAC) for a 12:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. CT kickoff on Saturday in Caledonia, Mich.  The Lions are coming off their first win of 2019, while the Panthers look to remain unbeaten this season.

Lindenwood defeated William Jewell 28-16 last week, helping head coach Jed Stugart to his 100th career victory and the first home win for the Lions since October 28, 2017.  Erik Henneman started the game with a 69-yard touchdown reception, his first of two scores in the game.  Lindenwood scored all 28 points in the first half, which was a enough in the first GLVC game in program history.

Cade Brister is off to a hot start in 2019, ranking fourth in the country with his 10 passing touchdowns.  Brister also ranks sixth in the NCAA Division II with his 333.3 total offensive yards per game.  Henneman and Payton Rose stand at 12th in the nation with each hauling in four touchdown passes through the first three games.

Drew Seers is leading the way for the Lions on the defensive side of the ball, racking up 32 total tackles in 2019.  Uchenna Egwuonwu and Derek Edwards has each made it to the quarterback twice this season, accounting for half of the teams' eight sacks.

 Davenport is led offensively by Michael Catching who has 166 yards and two scores on the ground through two games.  Deion Powers is leading the team with 13 tackles and two interceptions, while Robert Clanton has tallied 3.5 sacks and 5.0 tackles for loss.
