Despite shooting a season best 50.9% from the field, the Lindenwood Lions fell to the #1 ranked Drury Panthers 98-84 in Springfield, MO on Saturday afternoon. The loss moves Lindenwood to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in conference games.
The Lions were led in scoring by senior
Kallie Bildner who scored 26 points. Bildner, who entered the game in the top 20 in field goal shooting nationally, hit nine of her 11 shots on the day and grabbed a team high nine rebounds.
For the game, Lindenwood outshot the top ranked Panthers both from the field and from beyond the three-point line. The Lions shot season highs from the field and from beyond the arc (41.7% or 7-for-17), but the season high 25 turnovers proved too much for Lindenwood to overcome.
