The Colonials put the pressure on immediately, compiling 20 shots in the opening period.Â
Annika Asplundh continued her shutout streak through the first frame, keeping it a 0-0 tie. Robert Morris scored at the 6:08 mark of the second period, taking a 1-0 lead. Asplundh tallied over 173 minutes of shutout hockey since January 11.

Lindenwood surrendered another goal with less than five minutes to play in the period, falling behind 2-0. The Lions struggled to get much offense going, as the Colonials took a 3-0 lead in the third period after scoring just 46 seconds into the final frame.

Asplundh made 36 saves on Friday, but the Lions were outshot 39-27 in the first game of the weekend series.Â
Lauren Dabrowski played quality minutes in the defensive zone, leading the Lions with six blocked shots.
