The Lindenwood women's hockey team (0-0-0, 0-0-0 CHA) is set to open the season in University Park, Pa. this weekend to take on Penn State (0-0-0, 0-0-0 CHA) The Lions and Nittany Lions are set to faceoff on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (1:00 p.m. central).

Penn State defeated the Lions in three out of the four meetings last season, with the one exception being a 1-1 tie in a February 21st matchup, Two of the three losses for Lindenwood last season were decided by one goal. Netminder Annika Asplundh stopped at least 27 shots in every matchup against the Nittany Lions. 

Sierra Burt (2 A) and Bailey Coyne (1 G 1A) accounted for two points each in the season series against Penn State.  

With 17 points last season, (6 goals, 11 assists), Burt led the team, while Megan Wagner ranked second on the team with 13 points (4 goals, 9 assists).  Asplundh finished the season with a 2.79 goals against average to go along with a .922 save percentage in 27 games played.
