Women's Basketball Set for Showdown with Truman State

Lindenwood women's basketball (2-2, 2-2 GLVC) welcomes in the undefeated Truman State Bulldogs (3-0, 3-0 GLVC) on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. in Hyland Arena.

THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR
Head coach Katie Falco is undefeated (3-0) against the Bulldogs in her coaching career.

J. Ruzevich earned the GLVC's Player of the Week honor for her play this past week. She is the second player in school history to earn the accolade. J. Ruzevich (25) and Devin Fuhring (22) both put up 20-point efforts against Missouri S&T in the Lions' previous game.

After scoring 87 points against the Miners, the Lions are now 36-5 when scoring 70 or more points in a game under Falco. 12 different players scored for Lindenwood against Missouri S&T on Thursday.

Ellen McCorkle posted a career-best four blocks while adding six points and seven rebounds against Missouri S&T.

A LOOK AT THE SERIES
Lindenwood is 3-2 against Truman State in the all-time series. The Lions have won three in-a-row.

In St. Charles, the Lions are 0-1 against the Bulldogs. Lindenwood is 3-0 against Truman State when scoring 72 or more points.

LAST SEASON AGAINST TRUMAN STATE
The Lions went 2-0 against Truman State last season. The two teams did not meet in St. Charles, however.

Jamie Bain went 6-12 from deep against the Bulldogs last year. She averaged 8.5 PPG against them in 2019-20. In the Feb. 6 matchup, J. Ruzevich scored 11 points, brought in five rebounds and dished out three assists.

Lindenwood held Truman State to six bench points in each of the two contests, while receiving a total of 32 points from its own reserves.

TWO-PIECE COMBO
Fuhring and J. Ruzevich combined for 47 points against the Miners on Thursday. Both players are in the top-20 in scoring in the conference. J. Ruzevich is 2nd with 23.5 PPG, and Fuhring is t-17th with 13.0 PPG. J. Ruzevich is in the top-10 in both FG% (.538) and 3FG% (.583).

CATCH MCCORKLE ON THE BLOCK
McCorkle has been dominant in the interior for the Lions this season, as she averages 8.0 RPG, good for t-12th in the GLVC.

Her 2.00 blocked shots per game are t-4th in the league. Over half of her rebounds are on the offensive end (4.75) which is 1st in the conference.

RIDING THE HOT HANDS
Lindenwood has thrusted itself into the top-3 in the GLVC in scoring (72.5) after a dominant showing against Missouri S&T.

This is due, in part, to the Lions dominance on the boards, averaging a GLVC-best 46.8 RPG. The Lions hold opponents to 30.0 RPG, which is 1st in the conference.

DIVISION II HIGHLIGHTS
J. Ruzevich is t-2nd in D-II with three double doubles this season. She is 11th in Division II with 23.5 points per game.

Lindenwood has the 3rd-best rebounding margin in all of Division II with a +16.8 margin.

Against Missouri S&T, Lindenwood recorded 29 assists, which was the highest single-game output in DII this season.

The Lions have had two of the top four highest single-game rebound totals (55 and 54) in Division II.
