The Lindenwood women's hockey team (4-18-3) lost to Minnesota State (10-14-5) by a 4-2 margin on Saturday in Mankato, Minn.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood had two power play opportunities in the first period, but failed to convert to keep the score tied at 0-0. Minnesota State broke the deadlock with a power play goal at the 6:06 mark of the second period.Â
Sierra Burt responded 33 seconds later with her fourth goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1 early in the second period.

Minnesota State ended the second frame with two goals in the final 2:16 to take a 3-1 lead. The Mavericks went up 4-1 with a goal at the 16:40 mark of the third period.Â
Cierra Paisley added a power play goal with just over one minute remaining, but the gap was too large to overcome.
