The Lindenwood baseball team (5-1) shut out Ohio Dominican (0-3) for the third-straight game this weekend, as the Lions swept the Panthers with a 4-0 victory on Sunday at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
Kyle Hentis set the tone early, as he struck out the first two batters of the game. In the bottom of the first inning,
Calvin Nowak belted a solo home run down the right field line to start the scoring. With two outs and a 1-0 count,
Mitchell Krebs hit a solo shot of his own, giving the Lions a 2-0 lead. In the next at-bat,
Jayce Maag reached base and proceeded to steal second base. Maag scored from second base on a single up the middle by
Alex Canty, making it a 3-0 lead after the first inning.

Hentis tallied four strikeouts in the next two innings, taking control of the game.Â
Kolby Schulte led off the bottom of the third inning with a double down the third base line. After advancing to third on a sacrifice bunt, Schulte scored on a wild pitch to make it a four-run lead for Lindenwood. Hentis tossed six quality innings, allowing just two hits while striking out six batters.

Justin Taylor pitched two innings in relief, compiling four strikeouts. The Lions allowed just one extra base hit in the game, as no runner advanced past second base. Lindenwood turned two double plays on Sunday, helping the Lions secure the 4-0 victory.
