The No. 17 Lindenwood baseball team (12-1) swept the weekend series over Truman State (3-12) with wins of 4-3 and 3-1, respectively on Sunday at Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.

GAME ONE OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the scoring in the bottom of the second, as
Jayce Maag and
Beau Collier executed the double steal to perfection to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. Truman State took advantage of a miscue by the Lions, as the Bulldogs posted three runs in the top of the fifth to go ahead 3-1. With runners at second and third in the bottom of the sixth inning, Maag hit a double down the third base line to tie the game at 3-3 heading into the final inning.

In the bottom of the seventh,
Logan Rezash drew a four-pitch walk to start the inning. The Lions were able to load the bases with two outs, as
Kellan Murray came to the plate for the first time in the game. Murray faced a 2-2 count, before taking the pitch the other way through the right side of the infield a walk-off single.Â
Kyle Hentis earned his fourth victory this season, as we pitched all seven innings and tallied seven strikeouts.

GAME TWO OVERVIEW
Lindenwood again had strong pitching in game two, this time from
Niko Marshall who went 5.2 innings, with five strikeouts and just two hits allowed.Â
Calvin Nowak put the Lions on the board in the bottom of the third inning, after leading off with a four-pitch walk. Nowak stole second and later scored to make it a 1-0 ballgame. Maag opened the fourth inning with a single, before stealing second base.Â
Will Lanxon singled to third base, but a botched play at first base allowed Maag to score, making it a 2-0 lead for the Lions.

Maag led off the sixth inning with a single through the left side of the infield, and followed up with back-to-back stolen bases.Â
Sam Kissane brought Maag in to score, giving Lindenwood a 3-0 lead.Â
Eric Hipp closed out the game, as he pitch the final 3.1 innings, securing the 3-1 win for the weekend sweep.
