Lindenwood Notes:
- Fifth-seeded Lindenwood opens the GLVC Championship with a contest against fourth-seeded Truman State in the Vadalabene Center on the campus of SIU-Edwardsville. Lindenwood finished the 2019-20 regular season with a 14-6 GLVC record, earning third place in the conference. Truman State was 16-4 in conference action, finishing second. With the GLVC Point Rating System, the Bulldogs finished fourth, with the Lions finishing fifth.
- Last time out, the Lions defeated Lewis 86-74 on Senior Day for the Lions. Kallie Bildner led the Lions with 25 points and 15 rebounds. Lindsay Medlen had 14 points with eight assists, seven steals and four rebounds. Lindenwood's third senior, Megan Foster, has been out all season due to injury, but was able to enter the game late and score her first bucket of the season.
- Three Lions were named to the All-GLVC teams on Wednesday. Kallie Bildner was a unanimous selection to the first team, while Devin Fuhring and Lindsay Medlen were second team honorees.
- In the most recent Midwest Regional Rankings, Lindenwood is seventh, trailing sixth-place USI, but leading eighth-place Lewis.
- The Lindenwood senior duo of Kallie Bildner and Lindsey Medlen are rewriting the Lion record books. Bildner has already broken the Lindenwood scoring and rebounding records. She is on pace to be the first Lion to finish her career shooting 60% or better in the NCAA. Medlen recently broke the Lindenwood career and NCAA era single-season assists records. Both players have surpassed 1,000 career points.
- Kallie Bildner is the only player to rank in the top five in points (22.1, second), rebounds (11.8, first) and field goal percentage (.610, first) in the GLVC this season. She is one of three players to average 20 points, one of two to average double-digit rebounds and the only player in the conference to shoot over 60% from the field. The next closest shooting percentage to Bildner this season is 56.7.
- The Lions are led by second-year head coach Katie Falco. She joined Lindenwood after spending 10 seasons as an assistant coach at NCAA DI South Dakota State. In her first season at the helm, she led the Lions to a 21-8 overall record, setting the Lindenwood NCAA single-season win record and earning the program's first-ever at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
