The Lindenwood men's basketball team (5-4, 5-4 GLVC) will head to Springfield, Ill. on Thursday to take on Illinois Springfield (4-3, 4-3 GLVC) starting at 6:00 p.m.
The Lions and Prairie Stars will matchup for the second time this season, as Lindenwood had the upper hand in the first meeting with an 85-75 victory inside Hyland Arena.Â
TJ Crockett went off for 30 points in that meeting, while
Vijay Blackmon dropped his 18 points in the second half alone.
Lindenwood closed out the game by shooting nearly 62 percent from the field in the second half, earning its sixth win over Illinois Springfield in seven meetings.
The Lions will look to bounce back after a six-point loss to Lewis in a tough game on Saturday. On the contrary, the Prairie Stars took down Lewis on Tuesday night, earning their second-straight victory since its road loss to the Lions. In the past three games since Lindenwood joined the GLVC, the Lions and Prairie Stars are averaging 86.0 PPG and 83.3 PPG, respectively.
