On second chance points, Lindenwood held the edge, 12-4. However, 21 of William Jewell's points came from reserve players while the Lions mustered just seven.

QUOTABLE
"Really tough loss, because through injuries and adversity on the road, our guys made no excuses and gave a championship effort to give us a chance to win," said head coach Kyle Gerdeman. "I'm proud of them for that. I have to get us reorganized offensively, to put us in the best position to win, and we'll get that fixed as we get ready for next week."
