Men's Basketball Hosts Lewis on Saturday

The Lindenwood men's basketball team (5-3, 5-3 GLVC) will take on Lewis (5-2, 5-2 GLVC) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday inside Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.

The Lions are coming off an 85-75 win over Illinois Springfield on Wednesday.  TJ Crockett led the way with 30 points, while Vijay Blackmon compiled all of his 18 points in the second half.  Crockett is currently ranked fifth in NCAA Division II with his 25.4 points per game.  The Lions have played well defensively, as the team is leading the nation with 70 steals and 31 blocks.

Crockett and Blackmon are tied for the fifth-most steals in the country with 16 each.  Lindenwood has four players averaging double-digit points on the year, as the Lions are averaging 79.9 points per contest.

Lewis is coming off back-to-back wins, including a six-point victory over Maryville on Thursday night.  The Flyers have three players averaging double-digit points per game, while two of those three players are grabbing seven or more rebounds per game.  The Lions and Flyers split the two-game season series last year, as the Lindenwood victory occurred Hyland Arena.
