Box Score Lindenwood women's volleyball (13-9, 6-5 GLVC) suffered a road loss at Truman State (6-19, 2-11 GLVC), 3-2, on Saturday.
MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lions opened up the match with an extended first set, winning 29-27. As a squad, the Lions recorded 13 total kills and limited the Bulldogs to 10 kills. Truman State was aided by three service errors from the Lindenwood hitters. Neither of the two teams found much success from an attack percentage standpoint, and the Lindenwood defense limited the opposing offense to a -.063 clip hitting the ball.
After dropping the second and third sets, the team responded with a dominant 25-17 fourth set victory. Firing on all cylinders on offense, the team put together 20 kills on a .425 hitting percentage, one of the best set showings of the season for the Lions. The Bulldogs were stymied and recorded just 11 kills as a unit in the fourth set.
Following a fourth set that evened up the match, 2-2, Truman State took the match win with a 15-8 fifth set win.
