The Lindenwood women's hockey team (1-9-0, 1-3-0 CHA) returns home and will welcome No. 9 Clarkson (9-1-2, 4-0-0 ECAC) to Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo. Game one is set for 7:10 p.m. on Friday while the series finale will on Saturday will begin at 2:10 p.m.
 
Lindenwood dropped both games of its series last weekend to Penn State by scores of 5-3 and 4-1, respectively.
 
In the opening game of the series, Lindenwood led 2-0 after 20 minutes of play, marking just the third time this season the Lions have led after the opening period, as Lindenwood holds a 1-2-0 record in those games.
 
Morgan Neitzke recorded three assists in the series opener, as the freshman continues her strong play this season, The Jackson, Mich. native is tied for the team lead in points (7) on two goals and five assists. The seven points rank 13th best in the conference.
 
The Lions and Golden Knights will meet for just the third time this weekend, as Clarkson holds a 1-0-1 advantage in the brief series history.
 
In the 1-1 tie on October 25, 2019, Jada Burke netted the Lions' lone goal from Maddison Stitt and Sierra Burt. Stitt has been in good form recently, netting three goals in her last four games.
 
Clarkson appeared in the rankings for the second-straight week, claiming the No. 9 spot. The Golden Knights have won four-consecutive games, improving their record to 9-1-2 on the year, including a perfect 4-0-0 mark inside ECAC play.
 
The Lions will play their second ranked team this season, as Lindenwood dropped both games against No. 1 Wisconsin to open the 2021-22 campaign.
