Men's Soccer Falls in GLVC Championship Tournament Quarterfinal

The Lindenwood men's soccer team (6-7-3, 6-5-3 GLVC) fell in the quarterfinals of the GLVC Championship Tournament to No. 7 Indianapolis (13-1-2, 10-1-2 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon from Indianapolis, Ind.

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Lions found themselves in an early deficit, as the Greyhounds took a 1-0 lead just seven minutes into the match. After the early score, quality chances were hard to come by, as each team combined for three shots on goal across the first 45 minutes, with only one coming from Lindenwood. The Lions earned a late corner kick, but nothing came of it as they trailed 1-0 at the halftime break.

UIndy put pressure on Lindenwood right from the second half whistle, as the Greyhounds extended their lead in the 55th minute, making the score 2-0. The Greyhounds maintained the two-goal advantage throughout the second half, as offensive chances were hard to come by for the Lions. Lindenwood managed just two shots across the second 45 minutes of play, seeing the Greyhounds earn the 2-0 victory.
