Women's Basketball Travels to Parkside on Sunday

The Lindenwood women's basketball team (2-5 2-1 GLVC) hits the road for a matchup against Parkside (5-3, 2-1 GLIAC) on Sunday, beginning at 2:00 p.m. from Kenosha, Wis.

Lindenwood returns to the court after more than a week off. In their last game on December 4, the Lions fell to Missouri-St. Louis by a score of 80-76 in double-overtime. This marks the second time this season that Lindenwood has dropped a double-OT contest, as they fell 103-102 to Emporia State on November 17.

In the loss, Julia Ruzevich recorded her third double-double of the season, pouring in a career-high 32 points, while grabbing 12 rebounds. The graduate forward was a pest on the defensive end, nabbing four steals and compiling three blocks. Through seven games, the Orland Park, Ill. native is averaging a double-double at 19.4 points and 10.1 rebounds per game, both tops on the team.

Devin Fuhring added 19 points on 8-17 shooting from the field, including a pair of makes from behind the arc. The St. James, Mo native has drilled eight three pointers so far this season, tops on the team. Freshman Mary McGrath chipped in a career-best 13 points off the bench, making six field goals on ten attempts. The 6-1 guard compiled eight rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes of action.

Parkside will be completing a three-game home stand with its matchup against Lindenwood on Sunday, as this will be the first meeting between the Lions and Rangers.
