The Lindenwood men's basketball team (5-4, 1-2 GLVC) dropped its contest against Christian Brothers (3-5, 1-2 GSU) by a score of 88-75 on Tuesday night from Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo. The Lions had four players register double-figure points.
GAME OVERVIEW
Christian Brothers jumped out to a quick 14-7 lead at the 16:31 mark of the opening half. Lindenwood responded by going on a 16-0 run across the nest 4:39 to take a 23-14 lead, as
Jacoby Ross and Kevin Caldwell each knocked down a three-pointer during the spurt. The Buccaneers managed to keep the game close throughout the half as the game was tied 39-39 at the break. The Lions converted 10-of-14 free throw attempts in the opening half.
The Buccaneers made a pair of three pointers early in the half, taking a four-point lead at the 16:26 mark of the second 20 minutes of play. CBU ballooned its lead to 63-54 at the under 12 media timeout. Lindenwood responded with a quick 4-0 run, cutting the deficit to 63-58. Shortly after, Christian Brother went on a 13-4 run, growing the lead to 73-60. Lindenwood tried to mount a comeback after a three-point make by
Sharrod Taylor with 1:18 remaining in the game, but the deficit was too much, as CBU picked up the road victory, 88-75.
