The archery team earned seven different top-five finishes at the Missouri Bowhunter 450 State Shoot at the Summit Archery Center in Grey Summit, Missouri. The competition took place over several days at six different locations throughout the state.
Ryley Schaub and
Natalie Akers turned in the top performances for the squad, earning first and second place respectively in the Adult Female Bowhunter Freestyle event. Schaub posted a score of 411 points, with Akers earning 352. In the Adult Female Freestyle Limited Recurve competition,
Izzy Booth finished third with 277 points.
Montana Bedell earned 215 points to take third in Adult Female Barebow, followed by
Hadley Magruder in fourth with 185 points.
On the men's side,
Cody Mosley took fourth in Adult Male Bowhunter Freestyle with 414 points. He was followed by
Jordan Gregg in fifth with 398 points, while
Colby Harris finished seventh with 301 points. Incoming spring transfer Justin Hall took 10
th in the Adult Male Freestyle event with a score of 443 points.
The archery team travels to Madisonville, Kentucky for the USA Archery Collegiate Nationals January 14-16.
