Men's Basketball Heads to Las Vegas for Two Games

The Lindenwood men's basketball team (5-4, 1-2 GLVC) will head to Las Vegas, Nev. this weekend to compete with a pair of games at the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic.  The Lions will take on Western Washington on Friday at 6:00 p.m. (8:00 p.m. CST), before matching up with West Texas A&M on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (6:00 p.m. CST) inside South Point Arena.

Lindenwood is coming off an 88-75 loss to Christian Brothers on Tuesday.  The Lions 52 percent from the field, as Kevin Caldwell Jr. and Jacoby Ross combined for 15 made field goals on 26 attempts.  Caldwell Jr. led all scorers with 21 points, as he knocked down 2-of-4 from deep.  Ross knocked down 18 points and compiled two steals with two assists.  Frazier Ott had a solid night, as he scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Ross continues to lead the team with his 22.0 points per game, as the senior is good from the field on more than 50 percent of his attempts.  Romelo Burrell is not far behind with his 18.0 points per contest, as he is pulling down a team-high 7.3 rebounds per game.

The two games in Las Vegas, Nev. will close out the 2021 portion of the season for Lindenwood, as the Lions open the 2022 slate in Kirksville, Mo. on January 2 to take on Truman State.
