Women's Hockey Closes out Homestand Against Syracuse

The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-7-1, 2-7-1 CHA) concludes their homestand with a three-game weekend series against the Syracuse Orange (3-8-1, 3-6-1 CHA). Puck drop is scheduled for 7:10 P.M. from Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.

The Lions last win at home against Syracuse came on February 6th, 2018 in a 1-0 shutout.

The Orange defeated the Lions five times last season, including ousting them from the CHA Tournament last March.

In a February matchup a year ago, netminder Annika Asplundh made 47 saves, her second most of the season.  The junior goaltender has put together a strong campaign in 2020-21, compiling a .943 save percentage to go along with a 2.00 goals against average.

Bailey Coyne (2 A) paced the Lions in points in the season series against the Orange a year ago.

Coyne ( 1 G, 3 A) is tied for second on the team in points with four through 10 games played this season.

In a December series last year, the Lions had to use two forwards in goal.  Cierra Paisley and Madilynn Hickey made 32 and 31 saves, respectively.
