The Lindenwood women's hockey team (2-10-1, 2-10-1 CHA) is set for their second straight three-game series, this time on the road against Mercyhurst (6-5-1, 6-5-1 CHA). Puck drop for the series opener on Thursday is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET from Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, Pa.
The Lakers defeated the Lions in three out of the four matchups last season. The lone exception being a 3-2 Lion win on February 7th.
Six of the seven Lindenwood wins over Mercyhurst have come on home ice, including the victory last season.
Junior center
Jada Burke tallied two points (1 G, 1 A) in the win. The Nepean, Ontario native netted her first goal of the season in last weekends series against Syracuse. The goal was the 16th of her career, second most among active Lindenwood players.
Megan Wagner added an assist in the season series vs the Lakers last season
Wagner scored two goals in the three-game series against Syracuse last weekend. The senior wing ranks second on the team with six points (5 G, 1 A) through 13 games played.
In two of the four matchups a year ago, the Lions found the back of the net in the third period. They have scored 11 goals in the final frame this season, their most of any period.
