Lindenwood women's basketball (8-5, 8-5 GLVC) is set to face Illinois Springfield (7-7, 7-7 GLVC) for the second time in a span of a week, tomorrow, at 6:00 p.m.
THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR
The Lions took the victory last Tuesday, 83-74, as
Ellen McCorkle scored a team-high 25 points.
Devin Fuhring added 24 for Lindenwood.
Under head coach
Katie Falco, the Lions are 4-0 against the Prairie Stars.
Lindenwood won the sole road matchup against UIS under Falco, 70-59, last season.
McCorkle has averaged 26.0 points per game for the Lions over the last three games.
Fuhring has scored 18 or more points in four-straight games.
Kate Ruzevich is averaging 4.0 assists per game in the last three outings.
Kendra Lee finished with a career-best nine points in the team's win against Missouri S&T.
The team's 17.1 assists per game are 6th in the conference and 21st in the nation.
Two of Lindenwood's three highest-scoring outputs as a team this season, have come in the last three contests.
The Lions have posted an +8.7 rebound margin as a squad, which is 1st in the GLVC and 11th in the country.
A LOOK AT THE OPPOSITION
Illinois Springfield is coached by Casey Thousand, who is in her 9th season of coaching and 2nd season at UIS. Thousand is 16-26 (.381) at the helm of the Illinois Springfield program.
The Prairie Stars won their previous game, 100-99, in triple overtime over Quincy.
At home this season, UIS is 3-3. The team is 1-3, however, in its previous four home contests.
Lauren Ladowski leads the team with 17.7 points per game.
Ladowski has made the most free throws on the team (81) which is 1st in the GLVC and 3rd in the nation.
Ladowski has played the 9th-most minutes per game (38.28) in all of Division II.
Makenna Fee's 11 blocked shots are 9th in the GLVC.
