The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (5-13, 2-12 MIVA) took No. 11 Loyola Chicago (14-5, 9-5 MIVA) to four sets, losing 3-1, in the opening round of the MIVA Tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ramblers took the opening set, 25-19.
- Loyola Chicago had 14 kills in the first set, while Lindenwood totaled 10.
- The second set went the way of Loyola Chicago, 25-21.
- The Ramblers recorded 12 kills in the second set to the Lions' eight.
- Lindenwood took the third set by a score of 26-24.
- The third set saw Loyola Chicago amass 16 kills. Lindenwood finished with 14 kills in the third.
- The fourth set gave the Ramblers the match victory, winning it by a score of 25-23.
- Lindenwood was outkilled, 55-44. Both teams finished with five service aces.
- As a team, the Lions had 12 total blocks, 41 assists, and 39 digs.
- Lindenwood finished with 29 errors to Loyola Chicago's 23.
