The six seed Lindenwood women's volleyball team (11-7, 11-7 GLVC) will square off against third-seeded No. 24 Southern Indiana (14-4, 14-4 GLVC) on Friday at 10:30 a.m., in the opening round of the GLVC Volleyball Championship Tournament, the conference announced today. It is the first time in program history that the team will appear in the league's postseason tournament.
Earlier this season, the Lions were swept, 3-0, by the Screaming Eagles on the road.
Hannah Borchelt led the team with 12 kills in the match, while Sadie Kosicuk recorded seven, and
Amber Schade finished with five.
Allie Otten had a team-best 26 assists, and
Jessie Seidel tallied a team-high 16 digs. Lindenwood is 9-4 since the match against Southern Indiana on Feb. 20.
As a team, Lindenwood leads the league this season in hitting percentage (.244), and
Mackenzi Sifuentes is the conference's leader with a .414 hitting percentage.
Allie Otten sits in second in the GLVC with her 10.64 assists per set.
