Men's Soccer Falls to Lewis in Season Finale

The Lindenwood men's soccer team (3-11, 3-11 GLVC) suffered a 4-2 loss to Lewis (8-5-1, 8-5-1 GLVC) in the team's final game of the regular season.

MATCH OVERVIEW
Just under six minutes into the first half of the match, the Flyers took an early lead on a low left shot. After a penalty kick at the 37:07 mark in the half, Lewis went up 2-0 in the contest. Malek Akar-Jackson opened the scoring for the Lions with a low left goal at the 44:14 mark, which was assisted by Gabriel Miranda. In the first half, Lindenwood took two more shots than Lewis, 8-6, but also committed more fouls, 9-5. The Flyers tallied three first half saves to the Lions' one.

Lindenwood evened up the match at 2-2 on a penalty kick taken by Ohm Harape at the 63 minute mark in the second half. The Flyers would end up scoring the final two goals of the game however, with one at the 70:24 mark and one at the 78:56 mark. The second half saw both teams finish with six shots, and Lewis fouled six times to Lindenwood's three.
