The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (11-8, 11-7 GLVC) lost in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament against No. 21 Southern Indiana (15-4, 14-4 GLVC), 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions took on the No. 21 Screaming Eagles in the opening match of the GLVC Tournament.
- The first set went to Southern Indiana, 25-20.
- As a team, Lindenwood had a match-high 15 kills in the first set.
- The Screaming Eagles had two less errors than the Lions in the opening set.
- The second set was won by Southern Indiana, 25-19, giving them a 2-0 match lead.
- Lindenwood outkilled USI for the second-consecutive set, 12-11.
- Southern Indiana won the third match, 26-24, earning the sweep in the contest.
- The Lions recorded 13 kills in the final set while the Screaming Eagles notched 14. In the match, Lindenwood finished with two more total kills.
- USI had all seven service aces in the contest.
- The Lions finished with 38 assists, two more than the Screaming Eagles' 36.
