The Lindenwood women's soccer team (9-3-3, 9-2-3 GLVC) dropped its GLVC Championship Tournament quarterfinal matchup to Quincy (8-4-3, 7-4-3 GLVC) by a score of 1-0 in overtime.

MATCH OVERVIEW
In the opening half, the game was tightly contested as both teams were strong on the defensive side of the ball, limiting the quality scoring chances.  In the opening 45 minutes of play, the Hawks gereated seven shots, but only three were on goal, while the Lions compiled three shots, two required saves by the Hawks keeper.  Each team registered two corner kicks in the half, but the game remained scoreless heading into halftime.

The strong defensive play continued into the second half, seeing each team limit the scoring chances.  The Lions tallied five shots including two on goal, while the Hawks registered nine shots, including three on frame, but each time, the goalkeepers had the answer.

The game would head into overtime scoreless.

In overtime, Lindenwood was able to earn an early corner kick in which it created one of its best scoring chances of the night.  Kaleigh Kastberg was unable to keep her header down, as the ball sailed over the net.  The game would need another 10-minute session to decide its outcome.

In the 103rd minute, Quincy earned a free kick. The ball was sent in from about 30 yards out and was able to be picked up by a Hawk player who found the bottom left corner through a maze of Lindenwood players to pick up the 1-0 victory.
