The No. 1 Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (6-0, 1-0 GLVC) opened conference play with a 20-8 win over McKendree (5-2, 1-1 GLVC) on Saturday night from Lebanon, Ill.
 
GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood outscored McKendree 8-4 in the opening half, including six straight scores after being down 4-2 early in the contest. Paige Sutton netted both of her goals on the night during that 6-0 run.  In the half, Lindenwood outshot McKendree 19-10, while scooping up two more ground balls than the Bearcats.

The Lions gained some separation in the second half with the help of 12 draw controls, outscoring McKendree 12-4 across the second 30 minutes of play. Emma Arnold scored two of her team-leading four goals in the half, as Lindenwood outshot McKendree 17-6.
 
INSIDE THE SCORES
- Seven Lions compiled multi-goal efforts.
- Erin McGuire recorded three assists, which was tops on the team.
- Lexy Biller recorded 14 draw controls, tying her own program record she set back on March 14.
- Cam Holley registered a team-high four ground balls.

The Lions return to action on Tuesday, April 6 as they will take on Concordia, beginning at 12:00 p.m. from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
