Lindenwood field hockey (2-2) was held scoreless at home, 1-0, in a loss to Newberry (2-1) on Friday.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions allowed a goal 6:37 into the match, which was the lone goal scored in the entirety of the contest. In the first half, Lindenwood was held to one shot, while facing 15 Newberry shots. As a team, the Lions tallied 10 total saves in the first 30 minutes.
In the second half, the Lions were able to outshoot the Wolves, 7-6. However, the team could not finish off an attempt into the net, and faced another half of shutout play. All eight of Lindenwood's shots in the match were on goal.

- Annick Giebels led the Lions with three defensive saves.
- Leah Brozovich, earning the start in the net, made 10 saves (a career-high).
- Izzy Folan and Pauline Terwindt each took two shots, both of which were on goal.
- The Lions took eight shots in the contest to the Wolves' 21.
