The Lindenwood women's soccer team (0-1-0, 0-0-0 GLVC) fell in its opening match of the season by a score of 4-0 to No. 9 Grand Valley State on Thursday night from Allendale, Mich.

MATCH OVERVIEW
The two teams were locked in a defensive battle in the beginning of the opening half as both teams combined for just two shots through 19 minutes of play.  However, the Lakers would find the back of the net in the 25th, giving them a 1-0 lead.  Grand Valley would strike again in the 39th minute, growing its lead to 2-0.

Grand Valley added to its lead in the 65th minute, making it 3-0. The Lakers would add another late tally in the 76th minute, securing the 4-0 victory
