The Lindenwood women's hockey team (0-2-0, 0-0-0 CHA) fell to No. 1 Wisconsin for a second-consecutive day. This time, by a score of 10-0 on Saturday afternoon from Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions found themselves in an early hole, as the Badgers scored just 2:17 into the opening period. After the goal, Lindenwood settled into the game, earning three power-play opportunities but were unable to capitalize on any of them. Wisconsin added on another goal late in the period to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission. In the period, the Lions compiled 10 shots, including five on goal.
Wisconsin got off to a quick start in the second period, scoring three times in less than four minutes to begin the period. The Badgers would add two more goals in the frame, as they extended their lead to 5-0 at the 3:48 mark of the second period. Wisconsin added three more goals during the second 20 minutes of play, taking an 8-0 lead into the locker room.
In the final frame, Wisconsin added two more goals, making it 10-0. The Lions compiled five shots, including four on goal across the final 20 minutes of play, but were unable to find the back of the net on the day.
