The Lindenwood women's soccer team (3-3-1, 3-1-1 GLVC) played to a scoreless draw with Truman State (3-2-2, 2-1-2 GLVC) on Sunday afternoon from Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
MATCH OVERVIEW
The first half was a defensive battle as each team combined for just seven shots across the first 45 minutes of play, only one of those were on goal. Truman broke through in the 17th minute, but Lindenwood was able to clear the ball of the line after it got by goalkeeper
Sam Blazek.
Lindenwood generated a corner kick near the end of the half, which was the only one of the opening half, but nothing came of it as the first half ended in a scoreless tie.
The second half brought on more of the same, seeing each team combine for eight shots across the second 45 minutes of play.
Emily Burton had a few good chances in the half, but each team was strong defensively as the game headed into overtime.
In the extra session, the Bulldogs registered two corner kicks, but neither team was unable to find the back of the net, seeing the game end in a 0-0 tie.
