The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-17-0, 3-5-0 CHA) battled in a tough 4-2 loss to Mercyhurst (16-7-2, 6-2-0 CHA) on Saturday in Erie, Pa.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood outplayed the Lakers in the first period after winning the shot total by a margin of 19-12. Mercyhurst registered a late goal in the first period to take a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. The Lakers added another goal to begin the second period while the Lions were on the power play.

Lindenwood settled down and
Casey Adimey notched a power-play goal at the 10:23 mark to cut the deficit in half. Just two minutes later,
Maddison Stitt tied the game at 2-2 to gain momentum. The Lakers again registered a late goal, as the tally at the 17:21 mark put Mercyhurst up 3-2 after two periods of play. Early in the third period, Mercyhurst scored on the power play to take another two-goal lead and held on for the win.
