The Lindenwood men's basketball team (7-9, 3-5 GLVC) will look to take down No. 21 Truman State (12-3, 6-1 GLVC) in a 3:00 p.m. tipoff on Saturday from Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lions are coming off a 72-60 win over William Jewell on Saturday, marking two wins in their last three games. Lindenwood was led by
Kevin Caldwell Jr. who dropped 25 points. Lindenwood forced William Jewell into 12 turnovers, which led to 17 points on the other end of the court.
The Lions secured three double-digit scorers, including
Romelo Burrell who registered a double-double.Â
Brandon Suggs continues to be the workhorse, as his four offensive rebounds contributed to 10 second-chance points for the Lions. Lindenwood hit 7-of-15 from behind the arc, and made 15-of-16 from the charity stripe.
The Lions are looking to avenge their loss to the Bulldogs back on January 2 in Kirksville, Mo. Truman State took hold of the game early and rolled to a 74-56 win over the Lions. Lindenwood and Truman State met just one time last season, as the Bulldogs won by a margin of 76-63.
The Bulldogs are led by Cade McKnight who has scored an average of 19.5 points per game, while shooting an impressive 61.6 percent from the field. Truman State is shooting nearly 50 percent from the field, including 38.9 percent from behind the arc.
