The Lindenwood women's hockey team (5-17-0, 3-5-0 CHA) will return to the ice for a two game series with Syracuse starting on Friday at 6:00 p.m. CST in Syracuse, N.Y.
The Lions were off last week after health and safety protocols halted their series with Penn State. Lindenwood dropped its last two games, as Mercyhurst got the better of the Lions by scores of 3-1 and 4-2, respectively.
Casey Adimey continued her string of strong hockey, as she registered one goal and one assist on the weekend.Â
Valerie Caldwell matched Adimey's two points in the series, as she notched one assist in each of the two games. Of the team's five wins, Adimey hold two game winners on her stick.
Caldwell has climbed to second on the team in points with 15, as her five goals ranks second on the team.Â
Sierra Burt is the team leader with 18 points, as the senior is sitting on 14 assists and four goal While playing multiple positions,
Maddison Stitt is leading the squad with six goals, including three on the power play. Â
In the defensive zone,
Teagan Heaslip (36) and
Kayla Martinez (31) provide support as the team leaders in blocks. The pair have added a combined 10 points, as each has registered a power play goal. Martinez scored her power play goal against RIT, which stood as the game winner.
Lindenwood is coming off a 5-3 win over Syracuse in the most recent meeting.Â
