The Lindenwood men's wrestling team (4-3, 4-3 GLVC) went 2-1 on Sunday, after hosting Davenport, Drury, and Maryville in Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
 
OVERVIEW
The Lions opened the day with a strong 49-6 win over Davenport.  Colby Smith, Anthony Michaels, and Nate Trepanier all won their matches by pin.  Ronnie Gentile bullied his way to a 19-5 tech fall, while Kyle Dickhaus followed up with a 17-2 tech fall of his own.
 
Lindenwood earned its second win of the day with a 27-18 victory over Drury.  The Lions and Panthers were tied after the first four bouts, until Dawson Sickmeier posted a 7-5 decision.  In the next match, Trepanier extended the lead with a major decision.  The Panthers cut the lead down with a fall, by Dickhaus and a pin by Michael Kramer gave Lindenwood the nine-point victory.
 
The Lions dropped their final dual of the day to Maryville by a margin of 31-15.  Colby Smith closed out his day with a quality 5-0 decision, while Trepanier went out with a bang by pinning his opponent.
