The Lindenwood field hockey team (7-8) earned a 7-0 win over Marian (5-7) on Sunday afternoon at Hunter Stadium in St. Charles, Mo.
 
OVERVIEW
The Lions got on the board at the 3:31 mark of the first quarter on a goal by Marina Evert.  Heidi Van Dyk added another goal later in the second quarter, giving the Lions a 2-0 lead at the half.  Lindenwood turned up the pace in the second half, as Grace Clem scored early in the third frame, while Evert notched her second goal of the game in the final second of the quarter.
 
Evert tallied the hat trick on her goal to start the fourth quarter, and Clem tallied her second of the game less than 10 minutes later.  Rachel Goebel capped off the scoring with her goal near the end of regulation to give the Lions the 7-0 win.
