The Lindenwood men's hockey team (0-4-0) dropped the series finale to No. 7 Michigan (2-0-0, 0-0-0 B10) by a score of 3-1 on Saturday night from Ann Arbor, Mich.
GAME OVERVIEW
Roni Salmenkangas was strong in his first action between the pipes this season, as Michigan compiled the first nine shots on goal, but the native of Finland stopped them all. The Lions would get on the board first, when a pass from

Hunter Johannes, who scored his second highlight reel goal in as many weeks, giving Lindenwood a 1-0 lead.
Joe Prouty also assisted on the score. Michigan would respond shortly after, tying the game 1-1 just before the first intermission. Salmenkangas wrapped up the period with 16 saves, while the Lions blocked another eight attempts.
Salmenkangas continued his strong play in the second period, stopping the first nine attempts by the Wolverines, including denying Luke Hughes on a breakaway just before the halfway mark of the second period. Michigan would take the lead at the 8:37 mark, converting a five-on-three, taking a 2-1 lead.
David Gagnon had a quality scoring chance late in the period, but he was denied by the Michigan netminder. The Wolverines held a 2-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.
Michigan scored within the first five minutes of the third period, extending its lead to 3-1. The game continued with that score throughout the period. Lindenwood earned a late powerplay opportunity, but the Wolverines netminder made a couple key saves to hold the two-goal lead. Lindenwood was unable to draw any closer, as the game finished 3-1.

Lindenwood will get set for its first home games at Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo. The Lions will take on Air Foce in a two-game set, beginning on Friday, October 14. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
