The Lindenwood men's basketball team (0-1, 0-0 OVC) will host Hannibal-LaGrange for the first home game of the season on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. from Hyland Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lions are coming off a loss to No. 24 Dayton in the first game as a NCAA Division I program.Â
Chris Childs led the Lions in scoring with his 15 points, while
Keenon Cole also scored in double digits with his 10 points. Cole went 5-for-7 from the field, leading all scorers with his 71.4 field goal percentage.Â
Cam Burrell scored just three points, but played well on the defensive end with two steals and one block.
Lindenwood will look to win its 15th home opener in the last 16 years. The Lions dropped its first home game of the season last year, in a 79-75 loss to Parkside. Lindenwood has had a winning record inside Hyland Arena in all but one season since moving to the NCAA level. Â
The Lions and Trojans will meet for the first time since the 2019-20 season, when Lindenwood earned a 100-50 victory on home court. Thursday's game will be the first of three home games for the Lions in the month on November.  Lindenwood will have two home games in December, before playing eight games inside Hyland Arena during the 2023 portion of the season.
Lindenwood travels to Columbia, Mo. on Sunday to take on the University of Missouri at 5:00 p.m.
