The Lindenwood men's wrestling team (1-5) traveled to San Luis Obispo, Calif., on Sunday to take on the #29 Cal Poly Mustangs (2-1) and the #9 Minnesota Golden Gophers (7-0).
Overview
The Cal Poly Mustangs entered the dual ranked No.28 team in the country, carrying seven wrestlers ranked in the top in their respective weight class. The mustangs held a 50-0 victory over the Lindenwood Lions. The mustangs achieved their wins by having one decision, two major decisions, three technical falls, and three pins.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers entered the dual against Lindenwood undefeated, ranked the No.9 team in the country and carrying seven wrestlers ranked in the top 20 in their respective weight classes. The Golden Gophers defeated the Lions 48-6. The Lion's highlight of the weekend comes from
Kalen Napier, the lone victor of the weekend for the Lions. Napier wrestling at the 141-pound class defeated #5 ranked Jake Bergeland by pin at the 0:34 mark.
